Angela Trinder - SRN, RSCN, Dip HSW, BA (Hons), CT
Was Chairperson of The Grief Centre since 1997 and former project manager for the Schools Liaison Project. Her time spent for the organisation was as an unpaid volunteer. Employed by the NHS in the field of Paediatrics for over 44 years and involved with The Grief Centre since 1994, Angela has helped train health professionals, volunteers, counsellors, human resource staff, teachers and funeral directors in relation to children and young people - loss, bereavement, grief and death. She is a member of Association of Death Education and Counselling (ADEC) and and one of the UK's first Certified Thanatologists.
Brenda Mallon - M.Ed., Adv.Dip.Couns.
Was Vice Chair for The Grief Centre. Brenda is a counsellor/psychotherapist with over thirty years experience in working with adults and children. She has a private counselling practice in Manchester and runs training courses in counselling, bereavement and loss, helping children who have experienced trauma with the therapeutic use of art. She is the author of sixteen books including 'Helping Children to Manage Loss' and 'Dreams, Counselling & Healing'.
Diane Finch - RGN, Dip Coun., Cert.Ed
Training Officer for The Grief Centre. She has worked as a Bereavement Nurse in an Accident and Emergency Department, supporting the newly bereaved in the community. Diane is a trained counsellor and teacher, training nursing / medical staff, volunteers and students. Diane is also the Co-ordinator of a Bereavement Support Service, working with volunteers to support the bereaved in Trafford.
